Chevy Blazer MPG
The 2023 Chevy Blazer is a force to be reckoned with, especially when it comes to performance. This model offers an excellent balance between power and fuel economy, making it the perfect pick for all kinds of drivers near Columbus, Grove City, and Dublin, OH.
In this Chevy Blazer MPG guide, we at Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet will give you info on what each of this model’s two engines have to offer when it comes to gas mileage and performance. Let’s get started!
Standard 2.0L Engine
Standardly, the 2023 Chevy Blazer is equipped with a 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder engine. This engine was designed with various fuel saving technologies to assist in maximizing fuel economy, including Variable Valve Timing, Spark Ignition Direct Injection technology, and Stop/Start technology.
The latter feature automatically turns off the engine when you come to a complete stop, so you aren’t wasting gas while you’re idling. Then, when it’s time to go, it turns the engine back on. Thanks to this technology, and the other features of this engine, it’s able to achieve an EPA-estimated 22 city MPG/29 highway MPG.
One more feature you’ll get to maximize fuel economy through is the drive mode select system. This system provides up to five selectable drive modes to give you the best grip on the road. However, when all-wheel drive or off-road capability isn’t needed, you can opt for front-wheel drive mode, which gives you the most fuel-efficient ratings.
Finally, power output from this punchy little turbo is plenty strong to motivate your SUV as horsepower registers at 228 and torque comes in at 258 lb-ft. Power is routed through a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Available 3.6L V6 Engine
The alternative engine on the 2023 Chevy Blazer is a 3.6L V6 engine that was born to perform. This engine, which also works together with the 9-speed automatic transmission, pumps out a whopping 308 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque.
With this kind of power, this engine is able to give the Blazer the capability to move up to 4,500 pounds of trailer weight when the vehicle is properly equipped. However, being able to move your family boat or pop-up camper isn’t all that this engine has to offer. You’ll also get to enjoy an EPA-estimated 19 city MPG/27 highway MPG.
Many of the fuel-saving technologies found in the standard engine are still in place for this larger V6, the most prominent of which would be the helpful auto Start/Stop system.
