2023 Chevy Equinox Preview
The future of the Chevy Equinox is all-electric. Chevrolet has already confirmed the SUV—along with many other models in the Chevy family—will be making the switch to electric powertrains. This isn’t occurring until 2024, however; the 2023 Equinox will instead receive a new internal combustion engine, along with other alterations. 2023 Equinox: From One Turbo Engine to the Next
Chevrolet is always working to made models like the 2023 Equinox smoother and more pleasant to live with on a daily basis. One of the ways they do this is by refining the engine. For 2023, they’ll do more than refine the motor—they’ll replace it with a superior unit.
The 2022 Equinox featured a turbo 4-cylinder making 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. For 2023, the SUV will recieve a new turbo 4-cylinder that bumps output to 175 horsepower while retaining the 203 lb-ft of torque. Power arrives quite early as well, with the horsepower peak at 5,800 RPM and the torque at 2,000 RPM.
A 6-speed automatic transmission will be switching the gears for you. As for where the power is directed, you can enjoy your preference of either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive in any of the four trim levels. All-wheel drive delivers slightly improved grip, while the front-wheel drive may return slightly better fuel economy.
2023 Equinox: Unique Colors and Personalized Trims
If you want your 2023 Equinox to look a certain way or offer a certain set of features, Chevrolet has you back. An assortment of unique exterior colors and a quartet of trim levels helps ensure each driver gets the exact Equinox they want.
The standard trim will be the LS, an easy choice for those who want to commute to work in comfort each day. You’ll find some more interior goodies as you step up to the LT or RS trims. Yet it’s the range-topping Premier trim you’ll want if a luxurious cabin experience is the goal.
Choosing the exact color of your Equinox is another exciting decision to make. Out are previous exterior colors such as Cherry Red Tintcoat and Seaglass Blue Metallic and in are the following trio of hues:
- Sterling Gray Metallic
- Radiant Red Tintcoat
- Harvest Bronze Metallic
