Your Regular Maintenance Visit

Your Chevy Silverado 1500 requires different upkeep services at different intervals, though there are some that are performed during nearly every visit. Every 7,500 miles you drive your Silverado 1500, you'll be set to visit our service center for some preventative upkeep. This will keep your truck driving strong and true for years to come.

During these visits, your Silverado will receive a tire rotation to keep the tread wear on each wheel even. This helps with both grip and fuel efficiency. It will also have an oil change performed; the fresh oil keeps your engine running smoothly by providing lubrication to the many moving parts.

Lastly, your truck will receive a multi-point inspection to check in on its other parts. This exam can identify other services that may need to be done.

Spark Plug Replacements

Your Silverado’s engine uses spark plugs to start the ignition. Without them, your truck will be stuck until they’re replaced. Chevy has taken this into account and given recommendations for when your spark plugs need to be replaced. The specifics depend on your vehicle’s engine type.

Silverado 1500 models equipped with the 2.7L 4-cylinder turbo engine will need spark plugs sooner. After you've driven 60,000 miles, visit our service center to get fresh spark plugs.

If your truck has either a 5.3L or a 6.2L V8 engine, you can drive a bit longer before your truck will need new spark plugs. You’ll need to replace them every 97,500 miles.

Heavy-Duty Maintenance and Service

If you use your Silverado 1500 for frequent work in extreme conditions, you'll be putting that Chevy engineering to the ultimate test. After such hard work so often, your truck will need extra care to stay in top shape. Heavy-duty conditions include towing lots of heavy loads, driving in extreme temperatures, off-road driving, and heavy city traffic.
