How Much Can the Chevy Trailblazer Tow?

The official towing capacity for the 2022 Chevy Trailblazer has not been released, but this model offers the same engine options as the previous model year as well as an available Trailering Package. When properly equipped, the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer is able to pull up to 1,000 pounds of trailer weight.

With the same engine under the hood, we believe the 2022 Trailblazer will provide the same capabilities. With a 1,000-pound towing capacity, you’ll be able to pull:

• A couple canoes or a small fishing dinghy.
• An ATV or a few dirt bikes.
• A flatbed trailer piled with landscaping supplies.
• A small box trailer for moving.

How Much Cargo Space Does the Trailblazer Offer?

In addition to being able to tow cargo behind the vehicle, the 2022 Chevy Trailblazer gives you plenty of space for storage inside the cabin and the tools you need to customize your cargo space.

You’ll get a 40/60 split-folding rear bench seat that gives you the capability to fold one, two, or all three rear seats. With all three seats down, you’ll have 54.4 cubic feet of cargo space to work with. That’s plenty of room for small pieces of furniture or a week’s worth of camping supplies.

You can also fold down the front passenger’s seat to accommodate long cargo items like skis, snowboards, and two-by-fours.

Packing is made even easier by the available Hands-Free Liftgate. When your arms are full of bags, you can easily access the cargo hold by swiping your foot under the rear bumper of the vehicle.
