When your wheel bearings start to degrade, there is no outward indication of the problem. You will most likely notice a change in how your car or truck feels or handles.

Failed bearings can ultimately experience catastrophic failure of your brakes or wheels which can result in a loss of a wheel and even an accident. Wheel bearings on most modern vehicles can last 80,000 miles or more. So, if you have been driving your car for a few years and notice a new noise while rolling down the street, it is a good time to have the bearings inspected. Your vintage ride or trailer probably requires service every two to three years or 30,000 miles.
