Chevy Bolt EV Maintenance Schedule

Chevy Bolt EV Maintenance

The Chevy Bolt EV is a favorite among electric car drivers near Columbus, Grove City, and Dublin, Ohio. To help you keep it going for adventures to come, we at Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet have put together this comprehensive Chevy Bolt EV maintenance schedule.

Anticipate your electric vehicle’s needs by checking out the detailed schedule below!

Every 7,500 Miles

Chevy Bolt EVEvery 7,500 miles—or roughly every six months—your Chevy Bolt EV will need a thorough inspection to ensure the following components of your vehicle are in tip-top shape:

-Coolant and windshield washer fluid levels

-Tire wear and tear as well as inflation pressure

-Brake system including pads, lines, calipers, and pedals

-Steering, suspension, and chassis components

-Restraint system components, including all five seatbelts

While you’re at the service center having these components examined, you’ll also have your tires rotated. Regular tire rotations prolong the lifespan of your tires by evening out the tread wear on each tire.

Every 15,000 Miles

Every 15,000 miles, you’ll go through the same inspection routine as you do every 7,500 miles.

For every 15,000 miles you add to the odometer of your Chevy Bolt EV, you’ll also need to have your front and rear wiper blades inspected. They’ll typically need to be replaced at this point, or about once a year.

Every 22,500 Miles

Chevy Bolt EV Air SystemEvery 22,500 miles, you’ll have all the 7,500-mile services completed with the addition of a few crucial services. At every 22,500-mile mark, you’ll need to have the air filter in the passenger compartment replaced.

The cabin air filter is essential for maintaining air quality in the cabin of your Chevy Bolt EV. As the vehicle’s air system sucks air into the cabin, this filter catches and removes pollen, dust, and even the edge of bad odors. Every breath you take is a pleasant one.

Every 75,000 Miles

At 75,000 miles, you’ll have a few extra services thrown on top of what you normally get at your 7,500-mile and 15,000-mile service intervals. At this mileage interval, you’ll also need to have your hood and body lift supports inspected.

As your Chevy Bolt EV ages, so will its multiple components, including seemingly insignificant ones like the gas struts and life supports. However, letting these elements go too long can create a safety hazard when opening the hood or boot.

Other Necessary Services

Chevy Bolt EV Battery

Some other necessary services that your Chevy Bolt EV will need come by the year rather than by the mileage interval. Keep the following yearly services in mind throughout the lifespan of your Chevy:

Every 12 Months

Replace the front and rear wiper blades

Every Five Years

Replace brake fluid and flush coolant circuits

Every Seven Years

Replace air conditioning desiccant

Every 10 Years

Replace gas struts for the hood and/or body lift supports

The Chevy Bolt EV will also need to have its battery replaced after about eight to 10 years. This estimate can vary based on how many miles you drive, what kind of driving conditions you’re in, and your personal driving style. At every service visit, we’ll check your battery to ensure it’s still good to go.
